Menstrual hygiene refers to the practices and measures taken to manage menstruation safely and hygienically. It involves the use of clean menstrual products such as sanitary pads, tampons, menstrual cups, and proper washing of the genital area to prevent infections. Access to clean water, private and safe sanitation facilities, and education about menstruation and reproductive health are crucial components of menstrual hygiene. Proper menstrual hygiene not only ensures the physical well-being of individuals but also promotes their dignity and social well-being, reducing the stigma and taboos often associated with menstruation.
Our Batch-24 Branch again proudly hosted the "Breaking the Silence: Advancing Menstrual Hygiene for Students" program at Noy Mile Tripura Para Junior High School on the occasion of the International Menstrual Hygiene Day. Over 80 girls participated in a seminar led by our trained members, receiving crucial guidelines on menstrual hygiene and dispelling societal misconceptions. Special thanks to Senora for their generous donation of sanitary pads, ensuring every girl was equipped. We also organized a special quiz competition, awarding the top 10 students with additional pads and special prizes for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Jaya Chakma for her invaluable support. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Tapu Tripura for his generous helping hand and to the teachers and staff of Noy Mile Tripura Para Junior High School for their cooperation. Together, we're making strides in menstrual hygiene awareness!
