Breaking the Silence (Menstrual Hygiene Event-2)

Event Overview

On July 4, 2024, Save A Smile Foundation proudly conducted its second program under the Breaking the Silence initiative at Munigram High School, Sadar Khagrachari. We were thrilled to host a seminar for over 150 adolescent girls from classes six to ten, providing essential guidance on menstrual hygiene.

With the esteemed presence of the school's teachers and an inspiring speech from Assistant Headmistress Mrs. Rakhi Chakma, the event was a huge success. The girls engaged with an awareness video, participated in a special quiz competition, and won amazing prizes, including sanitary pads for the top ten winners. Additionally, snacks and educational materials were distributed to all attendees.

A highlight of the program was the establishment of a Menstrual Hygiene Corner in the school library. This corner, stocked with sanitary pads and helpful banners, ensures that girls have easy access to necessary resources during school hours. As always, two lemon saplings were planted and footprints of Save A Smile Foundation were placed at Munigram High School.
