Plastic recycling and natural disaster awareness

Event Overview

On June 29, 2025, as part of the group-based activities of Youth Save A Smile Foundation, Group-4 organized a special educational and awareness program at Kukichhara Government Primary School in Khagrachhari Sadar.
?? Students from classes 3 to 5 participated in this program. The main objective of the program was to create awareness about plastic recycling and prepare students for natural disasters.
? Brief Activities:
1️⃣ Plastic Recycling Game: Treasure Hunt method competition for 6 groups to make things from plastic bottles
2️⃣ Discussion on the harmful effects of plastic: Explaining the impact of plastic on the environment if it is thrown on the ground
3️⃣ Natural Disaster Awareness Discussion: What to do during an earthquake, sharing important information including the emergency kit checklist
4️⃣ Handwriting Competition: Beautiful handwriting competition on the emergency kit checklist
5️⃣ Snack Distribution: Light snacks were provided to the students at the end of the game
6️⃣ Prize Distribution: Prizes were given to the winners, the school headmaster and other members were present
